Taichung City Model United Nations & International Affairs Training Program｜School Selection
Washington High School WIST will hold an internal school selection to select student representatives to participate in the Taichung City Model United Nations & International Affairs Training Program.
Eligibility
G10 & G11 students

? September 7, 2026 (Monday)
⏰ Periods 7–8 (15:15–17:10)
Selection Venue
Aesthetic Education Classroom
※ All participants must first report to the School History Room at the designated time for check-in.
Selection Format
Individual presentation: 2 minutes per student
Participants must read the assigned article(s) announced by the organizer before the selection.
During the selection, participants must summarize the key points of the article(s) and further express their own perspectives and opinions.
No notes or scripts may be used during the presentation.
Awards & Selection
The top 6 students based on their selection results will be selected to represent the school at the Taichung City Model United Nations & International Affairs Training Program.
Several students will also be selected for Honorable Mention and receive certificates of recognition.
Students who participate but do not receive an award will be provided with a Certificate of Participation.
Students who are not selected as school representatives may register independently for the second-stage activity according to the registration period announced on the organizer’s official website.
Important Notes
Students arriving more than 10 minutes after the selection begins will not be permitted to enter and will be considered to have withdrawn from the selection. Official leave will not be granted for late arrivals.
The Academic Affairs Office will arrange official leave for participating students based on their check-in status on the day.
Participants may not leave before the selection is completed and may leave only after the school bell rings.
Registration deadline: September 4, 2026 (Friday), before 17:10.
Please submit the completed registration form to your Class Academic Affairs Representative (藝能股長), who will collectively deliver the forms to the Academic Affairs Office – Examination Affairs Section. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Registration forms have been placed in the G10 and G11 homeroom teachers’ folders.
Please ask each class’s Academic Affairs Representative (藝能股長) to submit the completed registration form to the Academic Affairs Office – Examination Affairs Section or Ms. Ivy at the Administrative Office by 17:10 on Friday, September 4.

校內甄選時間

甄選地點
美感教室 (請參賽同學依指定時間先至校史室集合、報到)
甄選方式
・以個人為單位，每人 2分鐘
・賽前閱讀主辦單位公布的指定篇目
・比賽時須歸納文章重點，並進一步表達自己的觀點
・比賽時不得看稿
獎勵方式
依甄選成績選出前6名，代表學校參加臺中市模擬聯合國暨國際議事培訓營。
另選拔數名佳作，頒發獎狀鼓勵。
有參賽但未獲獎者，提供參賽證明。
若未獲選為校內代表，可依主辦單位官網公告日期，自行報名第二階段活動。
注意事項
・比賽開始後 10分鐘不得進場，逾時以棄權論，且不予核發公假。
・參賽同學將由試務組依當日報到狀況統一請公假。
・競賽期間不得提前離場，須等下課鐘響後方可離開。
・報名截止：9/4（五）17:10前 (請將報名表交由學藝股長統一送至教務處試務組，逾期不候。)
