Welcome to WIST

Established in 1999, Washington High School (WHS) serves over 2,000 students and is recognized for its strong academics, outstanding facilities, diverse student body, and highly experienced educators who foster a culture of excellence and integrity. In 2021, the school’s Overseas Preparatory Studies Program was restructured as Washington International School in Taichung (WIST). In 2024, WIST became a WASC candidate school, and in 2025, it became an authorized IB World School offering the Diploma Programme reinforcing its commitment to global excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in holistic, student-centered education.
