In our AP Biology class, students conducted the Leaf Disk Assay, a hands-on experiment that brings the process of photosynthesis to life!
By placing small leaf disks in water and observing their behavior under light, students witnessed a fascinating transformation — as the disks gradually floated to the surface, they symbolized the release of oxygen during photosynthesis. This simple yet powerful experiment allowed students to see how plants convert light energy into life-sustaining chemical energy.
