The competition emphasizes the practical application of language skills in real-world contexts, aligning closely with the goals of international education that prioritize communication competence and cross-cultural expression. Contest components include professional vocabulary usage, listening comprehension, dictation, and spoken expression, requiring both linguistic accuracy and quick response skills, thereby comprehensively evaluating students’ integrated language abilities.

「專業英日文詞彙(ESP)與聽寫說能力大賽」為國內具指標性的專業語言競賽之一,強調語言在真實情境中的實務應用能力,與國際教育所重視的溝通素養與跨文化表達能力高度契合。競賽內容涵蓋專業英日文詞彙運用、聽力理解、聽寫測驗與口語表達等面向,著重語言精準度與即時反應能力,全面考驗學生的語言整合實力。

Gladys shared that language proficiency is not achieved overnight but is built through consistent effort over time. She enjoys reading English novels and listening to English songs in her daily life, naturally developing her sense of language and comprehension through personal interests. In preparation for the competition, she engaged in intensive practice and mock tests, repeatedly familiarizing herself with professional vocabulary and the listening-dictation-speaking format. This process helped her enhance both accuracy and confidence during the competition. She emphasized that continuous practice and self-reflection are key factors in achieving stable performance.
