WIST provides a variety of AP courses. In our program, students learn not only theoretically but also practically in class.
AP Chemistry students are performing the official AP Chemistry Investigation 12: Hand Warmer Design Challenge.
Students build a calorimeter and test the change in the heat of various chemicals. They then compare their results with the most appropriate chemical in terms of overall cost, as well as its safety using MSDS information.
