Our Story

In the 2026 overseas university admissions cycle, WIST has once again achieved remarkable success in global placements. Student Henry has been admitted to the prestigious University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), one of the top universities in the United States. In addition, multiple students have secured offers from world-leading institutions across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Italy, with total scholarships amounting to NTD 55 million. Each year, WIST students continue to gain admission to elite universities such as UC Berkeley, demonstrating diverse academic pathways and outstanding global competitiveness.

2026年海外大學申請，華盛頓中學WIST再創國際升學佳績。劉峻亨同學成功錄取美國頂尖柏克萊大學UC Berkeley，更有多名學生成功錄取世界頂尖名校，版圖橫跨美國、英國、澳洲、法國、義大利等國家，累積總獎學金高達新臺幣五千五百萬元。華盛頓中學WIST年年都有學生錄取柏克萊大學等世界名校，展現學生多元升學方向與卓越的全球競爭力。

Henry’s admission to UC Berkeley highlights a strong and consistent academic journey. Having studied within the Washington education system since elementary school, he progressed seamlessly through to high school, building a solid academic foundation. During his time at WIST, Henry excelled academically and actively participated in the VEX Robotics Club since middle school, dedicating himself to robotics competitions and gaining extensive hands-on experience. He also founded “The Connectors,” a team focused on promoting access to technology and education, showcasing exceptional leadership. His combined strengths in academics and engineering reflect both his international readiness and well-rounded development.

劉峻亨同學成功錄取美國頂尖柏克萊大學UC Berkeley。劉同學自小在華盛頓體系就讀，從華小一路直升華中，學習歷程完整且穩健。在校期間表現優異，自國中階段即加入VEX機器人社團，長期投入機器人相關競賽，累積豐富實作經驗與競賽成果。另外劉同學也成立了「The Connectors」團隊，推動科技及教育普及，展現出卓越的領導能力。其兼具學術與工程實作能力的表現，展現國際升學實力與學生多元發展成果。

Beyond U.S. admissions, WIST students have also been accepted into a wide range of specialized programs and internationally renowned institutions. Sunny has been admitted to the Human Biology program at the University of California, San Diego. During Grade 10, Sunny became aware of the issue of “period poverty” and founded “Warm You Charity,” integrating Taiwan’s tea culture into fundraising initiatives to support underprivileged women. Zack has been admitted to the Pre-Med Biomedical Engineering programs at the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Irvine. During his time at school, Zack served as the president of the Interact Club and received recognition from the London School of Economics. In addition, he was awarded an USD 80,000 scholarship from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Meanwhile, student Maersk has been admitted to University of the Arts London, IFA Paris, and ESMOD, demonstrating strong potential in the fields of art and design.

除美國名校外，多名學生也成功錄取多元特色學程與國際知名學府。其中，陳善覲同學錄取加州大學聖地亞哥分校的人類生物學系，陳同學在高一時關注「月經貧窮」議題，創立 「Warm You Charity」，結合台灣茶文化募款，支持弱勢女性；林恩緯同學錄取加州大學戴維斯分校與加州大學爾灣分校的醫科先修生物醫學工程系，林同學在校期間擔任扶少團團長以及獲得英國倫敦政經學院獎，除此之外，他還拿到UC Santa Cruz八萬美金獎學金；另外學生莊子浚錄取英國倫敦藝術大學、IFA Paris 法國國際時裝學院、ESMOD 法國高等服裝設計學院，展現藝術與創意領域的深厚潛力。
