WIST Overseas University Fair Inspires Active Exchange and Expands Global Perspectives
To help students better understand overseas higher education trends and gain deeper insight into international university systems, WIST recently hosted two Overseas University Fairs, inviting representatives from renowned universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States to campus for direct交流 with students. The events focused on differences in university systems, curriculum structures, and application processes across countries, helping students explore future pathways at an early stage. The atmosphere throughout the fairs was lively and engaging.
為協助學生掌握海外升學趨勢並深入了解國際高等教育環境，WIST近期舉辦兩場海外大學博覽會，邀請來自英國、澳洲與美國多所知名大學代表到校交流，提供學生第一手升學資訊。活動內容聚焦各國大學制度、課程規劃及申請方式差異，協助學生提早探索未來方向，現場互動氣氛熱絡。
The university fairs brought together representatives from a wide range of internationally recognized institutions, covering diverse academic fields such as engineering and technology, biomedical sciences, business management, humanities and social sciences, and scientific research. Participating universities included prestigious institutions renowned for aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, and advanced research, as well as research universities with outstanding achievements in biological sciences, medical studies, and business analytics. In addition to introducing their academic strengths and特色 programs, university representatives also explained admission requirements, application procedures, and future career opportunities, helping students build more comprehensive and diverse international education plans based on their interests and strengths.

During the events, students actively engaged with university representatives, asking questions about campus culture, academic programs, and overseas student life. Gabriel from Grade 11 shared that the Overseas University Fair provided students with valuable opportunities to interact directly with admissions representatives. Through face-to-face conversations, students were able to quickly access the latest admissions information while gaining a deeper understanding of different educational environments and application expectations. Gabriel also noted that early preparation and understanding of the admissions process are essential in international education systems, and that the event helped clarify future academic goals and plans.
活動期間，學生積極與各大學代表交流，主動詢問校園文化、科系特色及海外學習生活等相關問題。G11 Gabriel分享，學校舉辦海外大學博覽會讓學生能直接接觸各校招生代表，不僅能快速掌握最新升學資訊，也能透過面對面互動，更深入了解不同大學的教育環境與申請重點。她也表示，在國際升學體系中，提早了解申請流程與準備方向十分重要，而這次活動也讓自己對未來規劃有更明確的目標。
Principal Liu Yi-Hsin stated that the purpose of hosting the Overseas University Fair is not only to provide students with diverse higher education information, but also to cultivate their ability to proactively plan for the future and broaden their global perspectives. Through direct交流 with international universities, students can better understand global educational trends, different academic systems, and cultural learning environments, while connecting their personal interests with future career and academic development.
校長劉一欣表示，學校舉辦海外大學博覽會，除了提供學生多元升學資訊外，更希望培養學生主動規劃未來與拓展國際視野的能力。透過與國際大學直接交流，學生能更早掌握全球教育趨勢，理解不同國家的教育制度與學習文化，進一步將個人興趣與未來發展方向相互連結，為未來升學與國際接軌做好準備。
Principal Liu further pointed out that WIST has achieved remarkable international university admission results in recent years. Students have been accepted into many world-renowned universities, including the University of Melbourne, ranked first in Australia, as well as top institutions such as the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. Other notable admissions include Monash University and The University of Queensland. In the United States, students have also gained admission to prestigious universities such as the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, San Diego, and the University of California, Irvine, demonstrating WIST students’ outstanding international competitiveness and diverse academic achievements. Looking ahead, the school will continue strengthening international education and university counseling programs to help students confidently expand onto the global stage and become future talents with a truly international perspective.
校長劉一欣指出，近年來，華盛頓中學WIST國際升學成果表現亮眼，學生陸續錄取多所世界知名大學，包括澳洲排名第一的墨爾本大學、頂尖學府新南威爾斯大學與雪梨大學，以及蒙納許大學、昆士蘭大學等國際知名學校；美國方面則錄取加州大學柏克萊分校、加州大學聖地亞哥分校及加州大學爾灣分校等名校，展現學生優異的國際競爭力與多元升學成果。未來學校也將持續深化國際教育與升學輔導，協助學生穩健拓展世界舞台，培養具全球視野的新世代人才。
